The bond is released when the vehicle is returned without any issues. The timeframe for the bond to appear in your account depends on your bank and may take up to 28 days.

How can I pay for my reservation?

Payment Options:

You can prepay or pay at the counter. For prepayment, select “Pay Now” or “Book over the Phone” during reservation.
Even if prepaid, a physical Visa or Mastercard must be presented at pick-up, and the bond must be paid.

Accepted Payment Methods:

Pay Now: Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay, Apple Pay.

Pay Later: Visa, Mastercard or Amex only

Not Accepted:

Cash, gift cards or contactless payments.

Will I be charged a bond?

All rentals require a bond, the amount of which depends on the selected excess coverage. For passenger vehicles, bonds range from $250 to $1100, while commercial vehicles have a $450 – $1250 bond.

For local renters outside the Brisbane Logan location, the standard bond and vehicle liability excess is $2500 and $5,000 respectively. However, if you have a history of renting vehicles with Alpha, we’ll be happy to reduce the bond to $1000 when you collect your rental vehicle.

Will I be charged a cancellation fee?

Bookings cancelled more than 48 hours before collection are fully refundable, with no cancellation fees. However, cancellations made within 48 hours of collection will incur a fixed $75 fee.

What is your charge if you exceed the kilometre (KM) limit?

Excess Kilometre Charge:

If you exceed the kilometre limit, an additional charge of 33 cents per kilometre will apply.
