Alpha’s founder has operated in the Australian vehicle industry since 2006 providing Fleet services in meeting with consumer demand, and today controls synergistic Small Medium Enterprises Alpha Car Hire and Parking, Intrinsic Finance and Alpha Autos.
Alpha Group is looking for a part time (15-20 hrs/wk neg.) Compliance/ Risk Manager to oversee and be responsible for the businesses risk and compliance with a primary focus on the finance business. The successful candidate will be expected to implement sustainable improvements through recommendation, training and advisory.
Role requirements
Located at our Spring Hill head office and reporting directly to the General Manager of Intrinsic Finance, you will collaborate with Senior Managers and stakeholders to provide risk and compliance management.
You will be primarily responsible for and not limited to the following:
• Driving and developing compliance strategy and reporting.
• Managing industry risk and compliance obligations with provision of staff training.
• Manage and maintain key stakeholder relationships including ASIC, Office of Fair Trading, OAIC, QCAT and AFCA.
• Manage and capture all internal and external dispute resolutions for audit and reporting purposes.
• Undertake and oversee audits and system integrity checks.
• Establish, implement, and maintain risk and compliance policies and procedures.

About you
You will be able to demonstrate:
• Proven experience in a senior compliance role within banking, financial services, insurance or similar sector, desirable.
• Strong technical and working knowledge of compliance framework, principles, privacy obligations and the Australian regulatory landscape.
• Proven experience with incident/ complaint management and reporting.
• Eligibility to act as a responsible manager under Alpha’s Credit License or work with the responsible manager so obligations are satisfied.
• Ability to educate staff to drive better business outcomes.
• Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment maintaining a positive can-do attitude
