Driver Requirements

Yes, there are age requirements:

  • We do not rent to drivers under 21.
  • Drivers aged 21-24 can rent select vehicles (e.g., Economy, Compact, SUV, Ute) but will incur an age surcharge.
  • No upper age limit applies, as long as the driver holds a valid licence.
  • You must hold a full and valid driving licence. Learner and provisional licences are not accepted.

Digital driving licences from QLD, NSW, and SA are accepted, provided we can verify their validity. If verification fails, a physical licence will be required.

Please note: A valid Visa, Mastercard, or American Express (Amex) card is required at pick-up.

For Pay Now bookings, we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

For Pay Later bookings, only Visa, Mastercard, or American Express are accepted.

Cash, gift cards, and contactless payments (including digital wallets) are not accepted at pick-up. Credit card surcharges may apply.

Any licence provided must be in English and include a photo. If your driving licence is not in English, it must be accompanied by an approved translation, such as an International Driving Permit. An International Driving Permit is not a stand-alone document and must be carried alongside your valid domestic driving licence.

Anyone wishing to drive the vehicle must be listed on the rental agreement. If you wish to add a driver after collecting the vehicle, please contact us on 1300 227 473.
