About us

Alpha’s founder has operated in the Australian vehicle industry since 2006 providing Fleet services in meeting with consumer demand, and today controls synergistic Small Medium Enterprises Alpha Car Hire and Parking, Intrinsic Finance and Alpha Autos.

Alpha Group is looking for a part time (15-20 hrs/wk neg.) Compliance/ Risk Manager to oversee and be responsible for the businesses risk and compliance with a primary focus on the finance business. The successful candidate will be expected to implement sustainable improvements through recommendation, training and advisory.

Role requirements

Located at our Spring Hill head office and reporting directly to the General Manager of Intrinsic Finance, you will collaborate with Senior Managers and stakeholders to provide risk and compliance management.

Your key accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

• Driving and developing compliance strategy and reporting.

• Managing industry risk and compliance obligations with provision of staff training.

• Manage and maintain key stakeholder relationships including ASIC, Office of Fair Trading, OAIC, QCAT and AFCA.

• Manage and capture all internal and external dispute resolutions for audit and reporting purposes.

• Undertake and oversee audits and system integrity checks.

• Establish, implement, and maintain risk and compliance policies and procedures.

About you

You will be able to demonstrate:

• Proven experience in a senior compliance role within banking, financial services, insurance or similar sector, desirable.

• Strong technical and working knowledge of compliance framework, principles, privacy obligations and the Australian regulatory landscape.

• Prior experience with complaints ASIC, AFCA reporting, complaints management and Hardship not essential but highly regarded.

• Proven experience with incident/ complaint management and reporting.

• Eligibility to act as a responsible manager under Alpha’s Credit License or work with the responsible manager so obligations are satisfied.

• Focus on doing the right thing by our customers, being compliant and educating and developing our people to delight our customers and drive better business outcomes.

• Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills with the ability to adjust communication styles from Senior management to customers.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment maintaining a positive can-do attitude.

You will be responsible for ensuring vehicle cleaning is completed to a high standard resulting in a high-quality output to all customers. The available roles will be worked in accordance with a seven (7) day rotating roster and required to work within the branch operating hours of Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm, Saturday to Sunday 7am to 3pm.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with hourly award rates per applicable award classifications and eligibility for the monthly reward scheme alongside superannuation according to the Super Guarantee.

• Cleaning passenger and commercial vehicles

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of 5 locations including management of key Branch staff. We are now looking for a permanent full-time Shuttle Bus Driver at our flagship Eagle Farm, Brisbane location. As a Shuttle Bus Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the shuttle service is operated to a high standard and ensuring a high-quality output to all customers during collection and drop off services. You will also assist with vehicle preparation and customer booking tasks, when trained and as required. The successful candidate will be rewarded with an hourly rate of range $25.65-$26.24 per hour plus applicable penalties commensurate with knowledge, skills and experience and superannuation according to the Super Guarantee. The available role is 38 hours per week with a 7-day rotating roster including weekends.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Operate customer shuttle services ensuring safe driving, professionalism and providing quality customer service

• Ensure the shuttle is maintained to a clean and safe standard

• Movement of vehicles throughout the location and taking vehicles offsite for refueling, maintenance, repairs, delivery to customers or other location

• Utilise the systems and support tools available to track individual performance and daily shuttle manifests
