The State of Origin is finally here, and Rugby fans are dying to see their favourite teams and players! We are just 6 days away from the first game, and it’s high time we discuss the things that you need to know before you head on to the Suncorp Stadium.
The State of Origin Game 1 will happen on the 31st of May, and will be held at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. The second game will be held at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney during the 21st of June. The third and last game will happen at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane during the 12th of July.
For attendees and audiences coming from distant cities and countries just to watch the game/s, our best advice is to book your Brisbane or Gold Coast car rental and accommodation today. Check out Paradiso Resort Apartments in Kingscliff, NSW, which is just an hour and twenty-three minutes away from Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. They have 1 bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom apartments, which are all well-fitted out and the decor are all Balinese-inspired.
The routes are super easy – just pick your car up from the Brisbane Airport, get on the M1 from Airport Dr and Nancy Bird Way, continue on Pacific Mwy/M1 to Chinderah, then take the exit towards Fingal Rd/Chinderah/Fingal Head from Pacific Mwy/M1. Just continue driving straight to Chinderah Bay Dr to Paradiso Resort. When going to the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane from the Paradiso Resort, all you have to do is get in your car rental, drive straight to Pearl St, Kingscliff St and Wommin Bay Rd to M1 in Chinderah, and continue on to M1 going to Milton. Take Castlemaine St straight to Suncorp, and there you have it – you’ve finally reached the stadium!
The NSW Blues and Queensland Maroons will be playing it off for a 3-part game series, with 20 players playing for the NSW blues, and 18 players for the Queensland Maroons. You can get your tickets here, which you should grab today! Tickets are selling like hotcakes, so make sure you secure your slots now!
So, are you wearing maroon or blue during the games? We will see you there!
