Blue skies, endless fields of lavender and morning tea in the sunshine you say? Sounds like the perfect way to spend a Sunday to us! If you agree, put Windsong Lavender Farm at the top of your list of things to do this February. Located approximately an hours drive out of Sydney’s CBD, the Windsong area offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city as well as some fresh country air.
There is plenty to do and see at the farm. Tours of the gardens offer insight in to how the farm operates and how the lavender is grown as well as being the perfect opportunity to listen to the bees go about their busy buzzing. If wandering the fields doesn’t appeal to you, browse all the lavender goodies at the gift shop and enjoy morning and afternoon tea in the shade of the gardens.
There are plenty of places for the kids to run and play, as well as space for parents to sit back and watch, making it a great day trip for families. With the scent of lavender in the air, you really can’t help but relax at Windsong.
