  • Tyre Punctures/Changes: Assistance with changing a flat tyre to your spare, or guidance on getting it repaired if you don’t have a spare or can’t manage it yourself.
  • Empty Fuel Tank: Run out of petrol or diesel? We can arrange for a small fuel delivery to get you to the nearest service station. (The cost of fuel applies.)
  • Key Lockouts: Locked your keys in the car? We’ll help you regain access to your vehicle.
  • Minor Mechanical Issues: For simple mechanical faults that can be resolved by roadside, our technicians will do their best to assist.

In the event of an issue with your Alpha Car Hire vehicle, follow these simple steps to get assistance:

  1. Ensure Safety First: Pull over to a safe location if possible. If on a highway, use your hazard lights and place a warning triangle if available.
  2. Call Our Dedicated Hotline: Locate the 24/7 Roadside Assistance number provided in your rental agreement or on your key tag. Call this number immediately.
  3. Provide Details: Clearly explain your location (as accurately as possible, including landmarks or street names), the nature of the problem, and your vehicle’s registration number (found in your rental agreement). Our team will dispatch assistance to your location.

Yes, basic roadside assistance is included with all Alpha Car Hire vehicles to provide support in case of mechanical breakdown or unexpected issues during your rental period.

If you have a flat tyre, we can assist with changing it to a spare tyre (if fitted and roadworthy). If you prefer, or if there’s no spare, we’ll guide you on the next steps for repair or replacement. Service fees may apply if the tyre damage is due to negligence or misuse.

Roadside assistance for genuine mechanical breakdowns is included. However, service fees may apply for non-mechanical issues or those caused by user error, such as running out of fuel, locking keys in the vehicle, or tyre damage due to irresponsible driving. Always refer to your rental agreement for detailed terms.

Arrival times can vary depending on your location, traffic conditions, and the time of day. Our team will provide an estimated time of arrival when you call for assistance. We always aim to get help to you as quickly as possible.

If the vehicle cannot be repaired on the spot, we will arrange for it to be towed to the nearest authorised service centre. We will also work with you to arrange a replacement vehicle if available, to minimise disruption to your journey.

In the event of an accident, ensure everyone’s safety first. Contact emergency services if necessary. Then, immediately call Alpha Car Hire’s dedicated accident hotline (provided in your rental agreement) to report the incident. Do NOT use the general roadside assistance number for accidents.
